Yes. The city campuses of TUM and LMU are about 20 to 30 minutes by S-Bahn, and the Universität der Bundeswehr in Neubiberg is one stop away. Garching takes longer because of the change.

Infineon's Campeon site in Neubiberg is close enough to cycle to, and the aerospace and defence cluster around Ottobrunn and Taufkirchen, including Airbus Defence and Space and IABG, is a short ride away. Several residents commute without using a train at all.
